Concrete Magnolias 001

April 11th, 2019

This past weekend good pals of Calculus Jon and Aaron set out to take some film-based street shots, capturing what is arguably the most visually stimulating seasonal transition in Victoria.

Spoiled with an array of magnolias, cherry blossoms, and himalayan rododendrons - here you can see why Victoria is often referred to as the garden city.

When buying for Calculus, I always aim to cultivate a collection of pieces that are individually intriguing, yet ultimately versatile in their styling potential.

Evan's indigo denim make for a fantastic base from which one can pair a variety of colours, allowing the striking yellow of Nicholas' tee to pair effortlessly under the natural denim waistcoat.

The wedge soled oxford shoe from Viberg further cement this strong foundation with their rich, yet humble, shade of brown and roughened suede-like texture.

Multifariously talented phenom that he is, Jon is the one and same person who recently completed the pattern drafting course at Pacific Design Academy with me, and we hope to get moving on producing his first collection in the studio here at Calculus in the coming year.
